Regional Coverage
The Peace covers a lot of country, and conditions are not the same from one end to the other. Travel is a real part of every quote here, so the practical approach is grouping work by area and being upfront about where a job sits.
Grande Prairie, Clairmont, Sexsmith, Wembley, Beaverlodge, Hythe
Intensive grain, oilseed and forage-seed acres, plus a growing number of smaller acreage-scale fields around the city. Heavier land west of town holds water, and many quarters are broken up by bush and creek draws.
Spirit River, Rycroft, Fairview
Long, productive quarters with scattered sloughs and low areas, mixed with hay ground and pasture. Wet springs regularly leave spots that need reseeding rather than a full field pass.
Peace River, Grimshaw
River valley country — benches and uplands above steep breaks and treed coulees. Ground equipment has limited safe access to a lot of it, which is where aerial application fits.
Dawson Creek, Pouce Coupe, Rolla, Farmington
Rolling, hilly ground where fields wrap knolls and draws. Distances between parcels are long, so small far-away jobs are expensive to service with big equipment.
Fort St. John, Taylor, Charlie Lake
Grain and oilseed flats alongside ranch land, hay ground and heavy industrial activity — wellsites and right-of-ways sitting inside working fields and above the river breaks.
